Condition

Painted on canvas laid down on board. There is an artist's pinhole to all four corners and one to the centre of the upper edge. UV examination reveals no evidence of retouching. There are some fine lines of craquelure to the pale blue impasto pigments with an associated tiny paint loss. There is a small dent with associated tiny paint losses to the centre of the upper left quadrant and some light surface dirt in places. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition. Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the blue area is a bit more saturated in the original and there's slightly more green to the yellow pigments.
