• cal. 33 photo electric quartz movement recharged by a solar panel, off white matt dial, gilt chapter ring with Roman numerals, pierced decorative hands, four cloisonné enamels, one to each corner of the dial depicting the night sky, the iconic shaped case with a multi-coloured cloisonné enamel dome depicting a compass and the sky of night with the moon, planets and stars, three cloisonné enamel panels around the main body, first panel depicting a sextant, the sun, clouds and a time measuring hour glass, the middle panel depicting birds flying near the clouds, moon, planet and stars, a pair of dividers and a sailing boat on the water, the final panel depicting a ship under full sail, a safe harbour and town, and a ship's wheel. The whole case supported on three gadrooned feet • case, dial and movement signed, enamel additionally signed by the artist

Condition

Overall clock is in great condition. Enamel panels are all intact. Small chip to the glass that covers the solar panel, gilt brass in good condition. Dial is clean, movement is working. Nice example.
