  • A HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE AND VERY RARE YELLOW GOLD, DIAMOND, RUBY, TOURMALINE, BLACK AND GREY MOTHER-OF-PEARL TWO TIME ZONE EXHIBITION CLOCKCIRCA 1985 Movements by Gerald Genta MVT 555415 AND 955412, STAMPED WITH FRENCH HALLMARKS
  • height 16.5 cm, width 42.5 cm
• two ETA quartz movements, 7 jewels, two dials with diamond set centrefields, two sets of gold pierced hands, each dial and movement set within the large wheels of the canon, each wheel engine turned and with applied gold and ruby set Roman and baton numerals, single border of diamonds, the gold barrel of the gun intricately sculptured, with diamond set accents throughout, one large carved flame shaped pink tourmaline, the barrel resting on a gold and silver plated black Rhodium carriage with applied gold and diamond decoration accents to the side and top, at the end of the patterned accents four pear shaped rubies to each side of the carriage, the whole scene mounted on a white and black mother-of-pearl base, studded throughout, with a patterned theme of gold and diamonds to the sloping sides, on shaped feet • movements signed and numbered, case stamped

Condition

A perfect timepiece for exhibition or display on a mantel piece or partners desk, large and imposing. Overall in great condition, some areas of light tarnishing, once cleaned the object will look magnificent. Quartz movement will require new batteries. One movement lacking crown. (?it is to be replaced?)
