Catalogue Note

The total diamond weight is approximately 5.69 carats.

With a Patek Philippe special folder containing Certificate of Origin dated 2011, a color diagram showing technical specification, images and descriptions of the dial and instructions for adjusting the moon age and the Sky Moon mechanism. Together with a setting pin and a presentation box with outer packaging.

Based upon the reference 6102 Celestial with Date, which itself was an updated version of the Ref.5102 (see lot 2502), the Ref.6104G encompasses the same imposing and impressive case dimensions and sky-moon-date display while fitted with a bezel featuring 38 baguette-cut diamonds (approx. total 4.27 carats); In addition the folding clasp is adorned with a 20 mm circular clasp designing with a central Calatrava cross and set with a further 22 baguette diamonds (approx. total 1.13 carats).  Launched at Basel in 2010, the Ref.6104 retains the Cal.240 LU CL C movement to display the Sky-Chart and phases and orbit of the moon as seen from Geneva as well as outer date indicator hand within a 44 mm diameter case. Reminiscent of the Ref.5971 (see previous lot) the diamonds are very finely set within the bezel offering a somewhat subtle addition to the design, complimenting, without overpowering the dial.

Available exclusively in white gold this is the first time a Patek Philippe Ref.6104 has been offered at auction.
