Catalogue Note

This watch is a reference 5513 originally purchased by an erudite and passionate Rolex collector who requested from the manufacture to create a special Submariner 3.6.9. dial exclusively for him.
The highly collectible 3.6.9 dial displays an equilateral triangle at 12 and numerals at 3,6 and 9  o’clock and was originally created for the Explorer models. Similar dials appears on the first Submariner produced by Rolex in 1954, the reference 6200. This type of dial is occasionally seen on Submariner until 1966 with reference 5513.

This watch is very rare and highly desirable because of its dial created on a special request of the watch owner which leads us to assume that this is a unique example of the contemporary version of the legendary 3.6.9 dial.
