In overall good condition. French export mark on foortim. Nice and unusual piece, very nice quality.

Catalogue Note

Marrel créa une coupe dite Cellini qui lui valut une réputation immense. Le roi Louis-Philippe qui l'acquit en 1839 qualifia lui-même l'orfèvre de Benvenuto Cellini du XIXe siècle. Elle fut acquise en 1980 par le musée du Louvre.
