Condition
Very good condition overall with some worming to the frame, a few minor chips to the carving. Probably set in its original frame. Dimensions of the relief itself: 118 x 27 cm.

Catalogue Note
Sculpteur d’origine florentine, Luigi Frullini (1839 – 1897) acquière une renommée internationale et fut présent aux expositions universelles de 1862 à 1878, où ses panneaux en bois sculptés de scènes animées de putti rencontrèrent un vif succès. Ce travail rappelle également les reliefs en bois sculpté d’Aubert Parent (1753 – 1835) dans lesquels se retrouve la même association ornementale de fruits, feuilles et oiseaux.
