Condition

Illustration is quite accurate except the silvering is brighter in reality as well as the yellow marble. As expected, silver is rubbed on the more exposed areas. Inevitable small silver gesso chips in places, specially on the feet, due to age and use, as visible on the image. Structure is sound and sturdy despite a few old woodworm traces and shrinkage cracks over lines of construction. As said in the catalogue, each marble top restored after being broken in the middle. Spectacular pair of console tables with unusual and attractive silvering, imposing look combined with lavish carving.
