Composed of 37 fluted emerald beads graduating in size from approximately 9.9 by 6.9 mm to 7.2 by 4.0 mm, alternating with 36 coral beads and spaced by 74 faceted onyx rondelles, completed by a clasp set with one marquise and numerous single-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.20 carats, length 20½ inches, the clasp signed Yard, numbered 1128, circa 1930.
Condition
In good condition. The clasp set with one marquise-shaped diamond and 42 single-cut diamonds approximately I-J color, VS-SI clarity. Fitted with a safety closure signed Yard. The semi-transparent to translucent emeralds are a medium-light slightly bluish green, moderately to heavily included, with some beads bearing chips commensurate with wear. The coral beads are a rich red-orange, with several examples of mottling and pitting evident under close examination. The onyx rondelles provide a nice complement to the colored stones.
