Description

  • Tiffany & Co.
  • gold, platinum, spinel, diamond
The garland style-pendant brooch suspending a cushion-cut spinel weighing approximately 10.25 carats, the floral scrollwork surrounds set with old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.75 carats, fitted with a pendant loop and brooch fitting of modern design, signed Tiffany & Co. circa 1910.

Condition

In very good condition. The spinel is a color change spinel, exhibiting a strong color change from purple to violetish blue. It is eye-clean with a small scratch to the table and minor abrasions to the facet junctions. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity. A former brooch fitting most likely screwed onto the back of the piece.
