The double-strand necklace composed of 94 cultured pearls measuring approximately 8.7 to 8.4 mm, completed by a clasp designed as a flowerhead set with calibré-cut and round sapphires weighing approximately 6.50 carats and numerous round diamonds weighing approximately 2.85 carats, length 17½ inches, with maker's marks for Oscar Heyman & Brothers.
Condition
In good condition. The round cultured pearls exhibit a golden hue with green and rose overtones, with good luster and minor blemishing such as pitting, peeling and wrinkling to the skin. The sapphires are medium-deep slightly violetish blue, lightly to moderately included with a few cavities due to surface reaching inclusions. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, predominantly VS clarity. Screw clasp located on the underside of the flowerhead. The necklace sits nicely on the neck and is comfortable when worn. Please note the catalogue states that there is a maker’s mark for Oscar Heyman Brothers, but in fact the piece was authenticated by Oscar Heyman Brothers, but lacks an actual maker’s mark.
