The polished gold frog decorated with calibré-cut emeralds with two modified cabochon ruby eyes, atop one cabochon emerald and one carved green beryl, further decorated with two cabochon sapphires, completed by a double snake-link bracelet, gross weight approximately 91 dwts, length 5½ inches, signed Seaman Schepps, circa 1945.
Condition
In good condition with minor scratching and evidence of discoloration to the gold. The beryl is a very light blue, transparent and heavily included with many surface reaching inclusions. The cabochon emerald is medium light green with evidence of color zoning. The two cabochon sapphires are a medium light slightly violetish blue, moderately included with some examples of surface reaching fractures. The two cabochon rubies are medium-deep slightly pinkish red and moderately included. The calibré-cut emeralds are medium slightly bluish green, moderately to heavily included with several examples of surface reaching inclusions. The double snake-link bracelet is highly flexible. Signed on the applied plaque underneath the rear end of the frog.
