Comprising an 18 karat gold bangle-bracelet of hinged design, the central motif depicting a cherub, decorated with gold wirework, gross weight approximately 33 dwts, internal circumference approximately 7¾ inches; a low-karat gold shell cameo brooch depicting three maidens, the frame accented with turquoise simulant cabochons; the gold cross pendant with gold wirework and numerous cabochon sapphires, emeralds and rubies, gross weight approximately 44 dwts; all pieces late 19th century.
Condition
All three pieces in good condition. BANGLE-BRACELET: Evidence of light surface scratching and one significant dent to the gold near the clasp. Fits medium to large wrists. BROOCH: Minor discoloration to the gold. The turquoise simulant cabochons range from medium light slightly greenish blue to blue, with some chipping on the surface. PENDANT: Some evidence of discoloration to the gold and minor denting throughout. The center sapphire is medium light slightly violetish blue, lightly included with no visible surface reaching inclusions. The numerous cabochon sapphires are medium-deep slightly violetish blue, moderately included with some surface reaching inclusions and cavities. The cabochon emeralds are medium light slightly bluish green, heavily included with one emerald exhibiting a crack across the stone. The cabochon rubies are medium-deep slightly pinkish red, heavily included with some examples of surface reaching inclusions. Examples of chipping and cracking throughout the surface. Evidence of discoloration to the pendant hook.
