Comprising four brooches of animal inspiration including an owl with a carved rock crystal torso, set with two cabochon cat's-eye eyes, signed A. Clunn; the textured gold prowling panther set with one cabochon emerald eye, signed A. Clunn; the frog suspended from a branch set with two cabochon ruby eyes, signed A. Clunn; fitted with a pendant loop; the textured gold scorpion with polished gold claws, signed A. Clunn.; total gross weight approximately 123 dwts.
Condition
All pieces in good condition. OWL: The two cat's-eyes show a well-defined chatoyancy, with an orangy brown body color. The carved rock crystal is moderately included, though still semi-transparent. PANTHER: The emerald eye is of decorative quality. FROG: The rubies are of decorative quality. Pendant loop is retractable. SCORPION: Very minor discoloration to the gold on the reverse.
