The antique-style pendant necklace suspending a navette-shaped pendant, set throughout with 23 oval-shaped amethysts and four pear-shaped amethysts weighing a total of approximately 475.00 carats, length 15½ inches, circa 1830; pendant detachable.
Condition
In good condition. The amethysts are well-matched for color, a lively medium purple, eye-clean to lightly included, with some examples showing light abrading to the facet junctions, visible only under magnification. The cruciform pendant can detach from the small oval amethyst at the bottom of the necklace. Fitted with a safety chain.
