18 Karat Gold, Sapphire and Diamond Ring, Van Cleef & Arpels

Of floral design, centered by a cabochon sapphire framed by round diamonds, accented by oval-shaped sapphires and completed by a fringe of round diamonds weighing a total of approximately 2.50 carats, size 7¼, signed Van Cleef Arpels, Paris, numbered 15031, 1975 and 56, with French assay and maker's marks.

In good condition. The cabochon sapphire is a deep, slightly violetish blue, moderately to heavily included, translucent to semi-translucent. The 16 oval sapphires are a medium deep, slightly violetish blue, lightly to moderately included with some examples showing abrading to the facet junctions, visible under magnification. The 34 round diamonds are approximately G-I color, VVS-VS clarity. Diamond fringe is articulated and moves freely when worn.
