Condition

In very good condition. Replaced mirror plates; possibly later mount in center; all ormolu mounts with light surface dirt, oxidation, and rubbing. Light scratches to surface throughout; some small areas of restoration. Brass inlay on left side is missing a 6 inch section and right side is missing a 1 inch section both of which have been painted to mimic brass; lifting in other areas of brass; ebonized wood beneath with some chips and losses. Far right caryatid’s feet and the base are loose; one interior column is detached but present; left molding at the base of rolltop is loose; some mouldings have small areas of restoration. Age cracks to veneers on rolltop. New leather insets; some very minor lifting to veneers framing inset. Cracks, scratches, and chips to drawer fronts; minor loss to right drawer front. Some age cracks to sides with infill; some minor age cracks to veneers in kneehole.
