Fifty three panels. Most intact, some panels fragmentary and with losses.
Condition
Panels, totaling 53, with construction cracks, abrasions, small chips and wear; consistent with age and use. Some panels fragmentary and/or with losses. Surface dirt to all panels.
23 complete floor panels; 3 intact pieces cut to be corner pieces so that they are about ¾ complete.
2 have been cut to be corner pieces and have a 12 inch by 6 inch section cut into them, possibly for an air duct; 3 have been cut into corner pieces and have other losses: 4 by 4 inch section of border, 2 sides and 2 small corners, 2 feet of interior parquetry.
2 are missing the sides but the middle parquetry is intact.
5 are partial pieces: 3 are ¼ triangle pieces; 1 is a half triangle piece with two small interior losses; 1 is a ¼ triangle piece with a 12 inch interior loss.
3 with losses to border pieces: 8 inches; 12 inches; 24 inches.
3 with very small losses: an 8 inch triangle corner; 3 by 3 inch corner; 6 inch triangular loss to corner
2 with only interior parquetry losses: 2 ft by 1 ft section and 6 inch by 3 inch section; T-shaped loss of 12 by 6 inch intersecting 6 by 8 inch section.
8 are missing one whole side border and other subsequent losses: L-shaped parquetry loss approximately 1 square foot; square loss to parquetry approximately 1 square foot; 2 interior corners; 4 by 4 inch square and a corner; a quarter of the interior parquetry; 1 corner and a square piece of the parquetry; 1 corner and a 2 foot triangular section; about half of the parquetry.
7 other pieces with various losses: 1 with a 2 foot loss to border and a corner; 1 with 2 sides and about half of the interior parquetry missing; 1 with ½ of a side and ¼ of the interior parquetry missing; 1 has a quarter of the parquetry, 1 whole and 1 half of a border, and a corner piece missing; 1 has one side, 1 triangle parquetry piece, 1 corner, and a 6 inch piece of the border missing; 1 is about half present with 2 sides missing and losses to parquetry; 1 with 2 whole borders, a half of a border, and a corner missing.
Assorted other pieces: 8 parquetry squares, 5 parquetry triangles measuring approximately 7 x 5 x 5 inches, 3 parquetry triangles measuring approximately 4 x 3 x 3 inches, 2 full sides, 3 side pieces ranging in size from 1 ft to 2 ft, 4 small pieces (4 x 2 in., 2 x 3 in., 8 x 2 in., 4 x 2 in.), 2 rectangular pieces of parquetry (9 x 3 in., 12 x 3 in.).
