Condition
Some age cracks and scratches to marquetry at top with only very small losses; tortoiseshell with cracks and some lifting; one tortoiseshell inlay with a small chip approximately 1 cm. The interior boxes in the top section are missing some of their green-painted trims; one lid has a detached but present finial; one red decorative corner piece to a box is missing; one of the ring holders is loose. Ivory plaques on the sides have old age cracks; one plaque has a small restored section; penwork is in good condition. The right side of the box has areas of lifting to the veneer and 2 losses to the veneer (one about 3 inches and the other about 2 inches). The tortoiseshell on the back is in good condition as are the interior drawer fronts.
