Condition
Very good condition; the pierced fret gallery with old repaired break to the cresting; old repaired break to central front right finial; the japanned surface in very good condition with some small areas of conservation; minor lifting to japanned surface in places to the left side panel and to some very small parts of the drawer dividers; the pietre dure panels in very good condition and appear to have some inpainting and restorations to the very edges with some very minor restorations to central parts of the panels; the pietre dure pieces are stable and with vibrant colors; the stand in good condition with very minor worm damage to the corner blocks; some minor flaking and lifting to the japanned surface of sides of frieze and some minor chips and losses to japanning of legs with a long chip to the front right leg at the corner edge; and to back left leg near base.
