- the largest 19cm.; 7½in.
comprising two apples, two pears and a melon
Condition
Melon - Good colour and surface, fresh break to finial, but with piece waiting to re-attach, now lined with floral paper but with remains of lead lining underneath, marks and scratches throughout consistent with use and age, key missing.
pear 1 - Good colour and patina, with remains of original lead lining underneath, marks and scratches throughout consistent with use and age, key missing.
pear 2 - nice colour, marks and scratches, missing key, retaining some of the original lead lining, finial with old break.
apple 1 - large crack to lid, nice colour, marks and scratches, missing key, retaining some of the original lead lining.
apple 2 - nice warm colour and patina with marks and scratches, some sctarches deeper but waxed, missing key, retaining some of the original lead lining,
