the circular top with a rosette and ribbon carved edge, with a bird cage action support on a turned and fluted stem, with an acanthus carved knop on leaf curved cabriole legs, on claw and ball feet

Condition

Top with slightly clear surface and displaying old marks and scratches. Small chip and slight age crack to one leg and chip to top of pedestal column. Otherwise in good overall condition.

The base on the present table is of almost identical form to another example with provenance from the celebrated English furniture collector, Percival D. Griffiths, sold Christie`s London, 14 June 2001, lot 35 and offered in this sale as lot 362.
