Condition

Window mounted. The sheet has been made up lower right corner. There are also pieces of paper, visible on the verso, covering small holes, tears in the sheet. There are a few small holes that have not been covered on the verso. The pen and ink and wash is still strong and in good condition.

Catalogue Note

The present drawing, previously attributed to Zuccaro, bears a significant stylistic resemblance to the works of Alessandro Turchi:  compare, for example, Turchi's The Death of Cleopatra, in the National Museum, Stockholm.1
