Condition

The pencil remains strong and easily readable. The paper has discoloured slightly as a result of exposure to light. In the sky, to the right of the centre, there are several minor fox-marks. This drawing has been well preserved. Overall this drawing has been well preserved. Catalogue Note

This view is taken from the bridge of San Polo, located just to the north of the Grand Canal. The prominent façade on the left is that of the Palazzo Michiel Olivo, a fine building that was constructed in the late 15th Century.
