Laid down on stiff card, some creases and wrinkles because of that. Otherwise, clean and in good condition.

Catalogue Note

Ralph Holland notes that this statue is now in the Sala Rotonda of the Vatican, restored as a figure of Ceres.  David saw it in the courtyard of the Cancelleria, which at the time was the official residence of the Cardinal Duke of York, as his inscription indicates.
