Catalogue Note

Ralph Holland suggested that in its vigorous style, the recto is particularly close to a drawing in Düsseldorf, which is a preparatory study for a mosaic of Jael and Sisera, in the Cappella della Presentazione in St. Peter's, Rome.1  This mosaic dates from circa 1686.
