Condition

Laid down. Overall in good condition. Tip of lower left corner missing. Sheet is torn slightly at the lower margin. A few brown spots located upper right side of sheet. Pen and ink and wash strong.

Ralph Holland recorded in his notes the existence of a comparable drawing by Piola, a study for a painted Allegory of the Arts, in Palazzo Rosso, Genoa.
