Catalogue Note

This drawing is very typical of Baglione's style but does not seem to relate to any of his known painted works.  The attribution was first suggested by Ann Sutherland Harris in a letter to Ralph Holland in 1972, and was endorsed in 1985 by Nicholas Turner.
