Comprising 33 pencil drawings, 7 wash and 13 watercolours, varying sizes (from c.140 x 240mm. to c.255 x 355mm.), many with manuscript information in English regarding location and date, on recto or verso, some also in Arabic, all card mounted and framed, housed loose in 3 large modern fitted green morocco-backed folio boxes, some tears and soiling at edge of images

A unique collection of views of architecture, towns, caravanserai, fortresses, street scenes, mountain passes, landscapes, seascapes, etc. in Isfahan, Hamadan, Bushire, Yazd, Persepolis, Khorasan and elsewhere. A number of the drawings are signed by G.W. or J.W. Mason and are dated 1859-1861.
