Catalogue Note

Bulgari first began creating realistic serpent jewels during the 1960s. Drawing on the ancient symbolism of wisdom and eternity, some of the jewels bore inscriptions referring to the actual snake the jewelled example was based on. The watch movements were supplied by Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre, Movado and Vacheron Constantin.
