Comprising: a rectangular powder compact with ruby thumb piece and mirror interior, measuring approximately 70 x 60 x 10mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered; a comb, the case engraved with a foliate scroll design, set with circular-cut sapphires and a diamond, length approximately 110mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered; powder compact with pierced case decorated with cranes and circular-cut ruby accents with mirror interior, measuring approximately 70 x 55 x 15mm, signed Boucheron Paris, numbered, French assay and maker's marks; and two sapphire and diamond dress buttons set with carrĂ©-cut sapphires and baguette diamonds, one signed Cartier, numbered.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. VCA compact: Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, NY. Numbered 11900. Stamped 14K for 14 carat gold. Total weight approximately 119 grams including mirror and powder. Ruby with characteristic inclusions visible to naked eye and under magnification, including some surface-reaching fissures. Comb: Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, NY. Numbered 20861. Stamped 18K for 18 carat gold. Weighing approximately 53 grams including comb. Sapphires with some nicks to facet edges. Compact: Signed Boucheron. Numbered BT no. 875012 and 60952. Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Rubies with characteristic inclusions visible under magnification, one stone chipped, some smaller chips to some stones. Dress Buttons: One signed Cartier, London. Sapphire dark blue, a few inclusions and colour striation visible under magnification, some abrasions to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively. Some abrasions and dirt to metal consistent with age and wear. Two compacts and comb each accompanied by fitted case.
