Description
- natural pearl, diamond, silver, gold
Comprising: a square brooch set with natural pearls and circular-cut and rose diamonds; and a brooch of ribbon bow design set with circular-cut diamonds, later inset with initials 'ES' accented with rose diamonds.
Condition
Accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report no. 08532, stating that two pearls from the brooch tested were found to be natural, saltwater.
Each mounted in silver and gold.
Square brooch: Pearls measuring approximately 4.5 to 5.0mm, medium lustre, light to medium cream body colour with rosé and green overtones, small pits and hairlines to nacre, with drill holes, possibly originally used in necklace. Diamonds bright and lively. Brooch pin slightly loose.
Ribbon bow brooch: Estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, mixed colours and clarities, stones bright and lively.
Each with abrasions and tarnish to mounts consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
