Description

Designed as a series of plaques in Geneva enamel depicting Italian peasants in traditional costume, each labelled according to their locality: Narni, Ostia, Cisterna, Tivoli and Genzano, areas around Rome, each framed with flowers and gold bead work, accented with turquoise and foil backed quartz, length approximately 150mm, enamel imperfect.

Condition

Stamped with indistinct assay marks. Enamel with some minor losses and cracks, some evidence of restoration. Turquoise stones with minor discolouration. Foiling slightly discoloured. Some abrasions and tarnish to metal consistent with age and wear. Overall in good condition.
