The celestial globe with printed label, NEWTON’S / New & Improved / CELESTIAL GLOBE / On which all the Stars, Nebulae & Clusters contained / in the extensive Catalogue of the late F.Wollaston F.R.S. / are accurately laid down, their Right, Ascensions & Declinatns. / having been recalculated for the Year 1830, by W.Newton // Manufactured by Newton, Son & Berry, Chancey Lane / London Published June 1, 1838.

Overall poor condition; the globes each with old cracks and minor restorations and small losses throughout; the horizon rings of each with small paper losses and restorations; the stands appear to be in good condition, though are sun-faded; one stand lacking three brackets to quarter supports; each lacking compass and stretchers; the other stand lacking two brackets and one bracket loose but present; the celestial globe is flaking in places and the horizon ring has a taped repair; globes and horizon rings would benefit from sympathetic conservation
