Description

  • Porcelain
well-potted with a broader lower bulb supporting a smaller bulb, each painted with a wide band of blooming lotus borne on undulating foliate stems, the waist encircled with a band of florets and the shoulder with lappets, the foot skirted with a band of ruyi-shaped lappets, all divided by line borders, the rim inscribed with a horizontal six-character reign mark

Condition

There is a 4cm area of restoration at the top of the rim, with a 3cm diagonal crack running from the centre of this. There is a horizontal 9cm crack along the central luting line. There is some scratches and small burst bubbles to the glaze and two small areas of glaze inconsistency to the lower bulb to one side.
