carved in the form of a shallow section of a tree trunk with two confronting grasshoppers to the interior, the exterior intricately carved with four cranes sheltering amongst gnarled and leafy pine branches
Condition
There is an area of restoration to the overhanging pine trunk near the back. The washer is in reasonable condition with the exception of minor losses and nibbling along the extremities, including the pine twigs near the top left and bottom right of the base.
