  • bamboo
carved in almost mirror image, each crouching over a beribboned brocade ball with a cub at its feet and another crawling on its back, detailed with neatly combed mane and busy tail

Melpash Court, Dorset, England.

 

Condition

These lions are in fair condtion, in that one lion has some damage to edge of his back left foot and an area to the left of this. There is also an area of loss to the end of his tail and to another area of the base opposite this. There is some natural age splitting to various areas of both.
