Description

  • jade and wood box
of tapering form, carved in low relief to each face with fish and archaistic scrolls, flanked by protruding mask-like motifs, the rim encircled by a keyfret band, incised to the side with a Qianlong mark and imperial poem, the stone of an even white tone

Condition

There is a diagonal re-worked chip to the lower right section of one side (1cm by 1.5cm) and there are also small chips/nibbles to the edges in various places.
