the pear-shaped body resting on a stepped spreading foot, surmounted by a waisted neck flaring at the rim, the shoulders set with a pair of gilt-bronze phoenix masks suspending loose rings, brightly decorated to the exterior with alternating upright and pendent lotus blooms borne on undulating leafy scrolls arranged in horizontal registers, all divided by floral scroll and ruyi cloud bands
Condition
This vase has various areas of restoration to the enamel, below the rim, above the foot and to various areas on the body. There are some dents to the foot, so it does not quite stand true.
