  • soapstone
of hexagonal section, carved in low relief to the exterior with three figures in a mountainous landscape with pavilions and trees, all between keyfret bands at the rim and foot, the stone of a golden yellow tone suffused with vermillion red inclusions

Condition

The decoration has been scratched off to two sides of the brushpot and to the lower section of a third side. There is also some wear to one corner of the upper surface of the rim. There is also some general scratches to the exterior base.
