the flattened hu-shaped body flanked by a pair of dragon handles suspending loose rings, carved in low-relief on both faces with a gnarled prunus tree issuing from rocks, the rim and foot encircled with a keyfret band, the stone of a pale celadon tone with milky-white inclusions

Condition

The vase is in fair condition. The rim has light bruises and minute chips (largest 0.2 x 0.1cm) and natural vein (approx. 2cm) running across with associated flakes. There are minor wear along the edges, including the edges and corners of the foot, and the edges of the loop handle where the loose rings are attached. There is also minor nibbling along the extremities.
