Description

elegantly potted, the tapering ovoid body with an incurved rim, incised with three line borders around the shoulder, covered with green, ochre and cream splashes falling unevenly midway down the body to reveal the buff-coloured body, Japanese wood box

Condition
This brightly glazed jar is in very good condition with the exception of some firing imperfections including a 2cm., diam., blister to the glaze at the shoulder, a 20 x 4mm., area of miss-fire to the glaze at the mid-body, a 30 x 4mm., area of miss-fire to the lower body, minor nibbles around the edge of the foot, and minor scratches to the unglazed section of the body.
