Description

  • gilt-bronze
cast seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, the right hand lowered in vitarkamudra and the left hand raised to the chest, flanked by curled stems of uptala lotuses which are now missing, dressed in a dhoti embellished with beaded jewellery, the tall headdress surmounted by an Amitabha Buddha

Condition

The bronze is in good condition with the exception of loss to the upper stems of lotus on the left and right side and rubbing to the gilt decoration in particular to the arms, hands and feet. The base is open.
