Description

  • porcelain and lacquered wood frame
the upper and lower bulbs brightly painted with quatrefoil cartouches enclosing bats and clouds around two characters reading Daji, all encircled by ruyi heads and bats suspending beribboned peaches and wan symbols interspersed between meandering flowering and leafy gourd vines reserved on a yellow ground, the waist with a ribbon securing a bi disc around an endless knot (panchang) in the centre, the two ends of the ribbon suspending a pair of catfish, all surmounted by a gilt ruyi crest and supported on a ruyi stand, mounted on a rectangular lacquered wood frame gilt with a classic scroll band

Condition

This brightly enamelled porcelain panel is in very good condition with the exception of minor glaze scratches and very light rubbing to the enamels.
