  • porcelain
each with rounded sides rising from a short foot to a flared rim, painted to the interior with a green dragon writhing amongst flames in pursuit of a pearl, the exterior similarly decorated with two pacing dragons chasing flaming pearls against a ground of incised waves, the base with a six-character seal mark

Christie’s London, 18th April 1977, lot 73.

Condition

Both dishes are in good condition with the exception of a chip to the exterior rim of each (5 and 7mm., wide) and minor glaze firing imperfections including iron-spots.
