the globular body rising from a short foot to a lipped rim, the exterior decorated with two sinuous dragons pacing amidst flame wisps, beribboned ruyi sceptre, flaming wheel and Artemisia leaf, contesting a flaming pearl, the base inscribed with an apocryphal Xuande mark

Condition

There is a chip to the foot (0.5x0.1cm) and a firing flaw on the base near it. Apart from minor glaze firing imperfections such as iron spots (predominantly on the interior), the waterpot is in good condition.
