Description
- Cloisonne enamel, gilt copper
the central bulbous section rising from a spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck, brightly decorated to the exterior with stylised taotie masks and ruyi scrolls, variously divided by ruyi band, leafy lotus sprays,and keyfret bands, the interior similarly decorated with meandering leafy lotus below interlinked ruyi heads and demi-florets

Condition
The 'gu' is in good condition with the exception of some shallow depressions to the rim with associated areas of re-touching to the enamel (1, 2, 2, and 2.5cm., wide by 4mm.) on the inside of the rim and two 3 and 1.5cm., by 4mm., wide areas to the underside of the rim, characteristic pitting to the enamel, light depressions to the foot and loss to the majority of the gilded decoration.
