Description

  • Cloisonne enamel, gilt copper
the globular body rising from a stepped spreading foot to a tall ribbed tubular neck, brightly decorated against a turquoise ground to the exterior body with meandering lotus scrolls between ruyi head bands, the neck with stylised floral and lotus scrolls divided by foliate scrolls bands, encircled at the foot with a band of C-scrolls and circles, the gilt base incised with a four-character reign mark and a shi character

Condition

A small 11mm dent to the mouth rim and 16mm dent to the foot ring. Other minor nicks and dents to the gilt-bronze mounts and characteristic pitting to the enamels.
