Description

  • Cloisonne enamel, gilt copper, bronze
the bronze patinated and modelled in the form of a knotted gnarled tree trunk, supported on a stepped base brightly decorated against a blue ground with bands of lotus sprigs, lappets, ruyi and floral sprays, all surmounted by a similarly decorated baluster vase, the base gilt and incised with a four-character reign mark within a double square

Condition

With characteristic pitting to the enamels and extensive wear to the gilt-bronze mounts.
