Description
- Cloisonne enamel, gilt copper
the compressed globular body slightly constricted at the base, rising from three tubular feet to a waisted neck with lipped rim, flanked by a pair of gilt-bronze kui dragon handles, brightly decorated with four lobed cartouches each enclosing a stylised lotus spray, all reserved on a ground of floral scrolls and below a ruyi band, the neck and rim encircled by floral sprigs and ruyi scroll bands, the base with a gilt square cartouche incised with a six-character reign mark and a shi character, the domed cover similarly decorated

Condition
An area of impact to the lower body measuring approximately 12mm by 4mm, with some associated losses to the enamels. Further minor losses to enamels to the base of one of the handles and to the top of the cover. Elsewhere, the enamels in excellent general order. Surface wear and dents to gilt bronze feet and rims, with three deep scratches to the interior of cover.
